Personal Project

Velora is a skincare and haircare brand built around personalized routines. I designed a conversion-focused website that builds trust, simplifies product education, and helps users find the right routine without feeling overwhelmed.

Most beauty brands either push too hard to sell or overwhelm users with information — leaving them unsure and unlikely to convert.

I spoke with 6 skincare and haircare users (ages 18–40) to understand how they navigate beauty products online.

How did the design guide users from curiosity to conversion?

The design focused on reducing confusion and creating a clear, personalized path from discovery to purchase.

Added an email sign-up in the footer to keep users engaged beyond their first visit.

A warm, approachable palette paired with editorial typography to balance trust with personality.

THE QUIZ

Most beauty sites throw products at you immediately. I wanted Velora to ask questions first. The quiz slows things down in a good way — it makes users feel like the brand actually cares what works for them.

INGREDIENT CARDS

Skincare can get overwhelming fast. I broke down ingredient info into small, digestible cards so users actually read them instead of bouncing.

SOCIAL PROOF + TESTIMONALS

New brands have to earn trust fast or lose people entirely. I used testimonials to give Velora a head start — real experiences from real people.
